You are the owner of your Personal Data.  By accessing and/or creating an account/ and/or completing any of the site forms/ and/or using any part of the Site, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Privacy Policy and you further grant to Maid of London a non-exclusive right to handle your Data, including Personal Data, according to the terms set out in this Privacy Policy.

When you create an account or/and complete the forms through the Site you will be required to provide us with Personal Data that can be used to contact you and/or identify you and/or provide you with a tailored service based on your subscription to the Site.  If you wish to be contacted about job opportunities you may be required to provide Personal Data that can be used to contact you and/or identify you and/or provide you with service-specific information.

2.1.1 When you book our Services and request a service provider through the Site, your Personal Data may be processed as follows:

  • To book our services you will be required to create an account or/and complete the form(s) through our Site through.  The information you provide will be used to identify potential service providers within the specified area, skills and based on any additional requirements specified by you.

  • When creating an account and /or completing the form, the following information will be collected:

  • First and last names;

  • Contact details, e.g., email address and telephone number;

  • Address information, e.g., house number, street, postcode, and city;

  • Information to identify you, as required;

  • Preferred payment method;

  • Nature of the services you require, including date, time, duration, one-off, recurring.

  • You may be required to provide additional information which is pertinent to carrying out the services, e.g., access to your property e.g. keys location, concierge/porter details, are there pets at the premises, are there parking facilities, location of waste disposal receptacles, any other additional information you deem necessary to disclose.

  • We will transfer only such Personal Data to service provider as is needed for such service providers to carry out the relevant services.

  • Once your booking request has been accepted and a service provider confirmed, we will process such Personal Data as is needed to provide support, fulfilment, accounting, customer service and any additional related actions.

  • Your contact details may also be used to provide you with notifications and reminders of services.

  • In the event you do not select a service provider or the selected service provider does not confirm, we may forward the data to other service providers in order to arrange the appropriate services.

  • You can update your Personal Data at any time in your account or by contacting us on the details provide here. If you want to delete your account, your Personal Data will be blocked first and then deleted.

2.1.2 If you are a service provider and create an account, complete the application form or/and registration form or/and the contact form through the Site, your Personal Data may be processed as follows:

  • The following information will be collected:

  • First and last names;

  • Contact details, e.g., email address and telephone number;

  • For emergency purposes we may require your friend/family’s emergency contact details name, telephone number;

  • Address information, e.g., house number, street, postcode, and city;

  • Personal information, e.g., a photo, gender (optional), nationality, date of birth, your right to work in the U.K. and any criminal convictions;

  • Additional information/documents may be required such as proof of address, passport / ID to conduct a background check by Maid of London or a third party company;

  • A signed service provider agreement contract;

  • Employment / Curriculum vitae information such as your experience, skills, previous contractors /employers, references, preferred work areas and pay, language, availability;

  • For processing your pay and additional work/tasks, we will require your banking details, electronic timesheets such as your work location, duration, incurred costs, tips/ bonuses;

  • Additional information, such as the App usage, feedback, complaints and surveys by service providers; as well as customer ratings/ feedback, complaints, lateness, cancellations, and other related information;

  • Any other additional information you deem necessary to disclose.

  • When creating an account, you will have an opportunity to create brief profile that includes a photograph a short biography including your experience and customer rating / feedback which will be published on the Site.

  • We will process the required Personal Data in order to conduct background checks, allocate and fulfil service requests, to carry out the required accounting and other such transactional activities.

  • Your contact details may also be used to provide you with notifications and reminders of upcoming cleaning events.

  • Your contact details (telephone number or/and email) may also be provided to your specify customer(s) so they can contact you directly for any work related tasks. We will inform and ask for your permission before providing this information to your customers;

  • You can update your Personal Data at any time in your account or by contacting us on the details provided here. If you want to delete your account, your Personal Data will be blocked first and then deleted.

2.2         Technical and Other Data:

We may collect / process technical and other personal data through analytics providers, advertising platforms, CRM, payment and accounting management software/providers from third party sites and third-party plugins, for example this may include: Wix, FacebookPixel, IONOS, Google Analytics, Hotjar, Typeform, Gocardless, Xero, Stripe, Opayo and Jobber.

We may collect information that your mobile or electronic device sends whenever you access the Site (‘Usage Data’).  This Usage Data may include, but is not limited to:

5.          Transfer of Data

 

Maid of London takes all reasonable and required steps to ensure that your Data is treated securely and in accordance with the prevailing data protection laws and this Privacy Policy.

 

Your Data, including Personal Data, may be transferred to – and maintained on – servers that are located outside of your country where the data protection laws may differ from those in your country of residence.  The Data will not be transferred to an organisation or country unless there are adequate controls in place, including security of your Data in accordance with prevailing data protection laws, or the equivalent, e.g. US-based providers who subscribe to the Privacy Shield.

 

If you choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer Data, including Personal Data, to a cloud-based server and process it there.

 

Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such Data represents your agreement to such transfer of your Data.

Maid of London may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

  • Protect the personal safety of users of the Site

Insofar as your interests and/or fundamental rights requiring the protection of your Personal Data don’t override such action.

 

We may disclose your Personal Data with any member of our group of companies, employees, officers, insurers, professional advisers, suppliers, subcontractors, or agents with a legitimate business need to know.

7.          How we secure your Personal Data

 

The security of your Data is very important to us.  Although no Data can be guaranteed to be 100% secure when transmitted over the internet or electronically stored, we do take precautionary measures by striving to use commercially acceptable means to protect the security of the transmitted Data. 

 

We have procedures in place to limit access to Personal Data only to those employees, contracted staff, agents and third party service providers who have a legitimate business need to know.  Furthermore, we have procedures in place to deal with any actual or suspected data breaches of Personal Data.

 

We may employ third-party companies and/or individuals to perform service-related services in relation to the Site or to assist us in analysing how the Site is used.  These third parties will only have access to such Personal Data as is required to enable them to fulfil their tasks and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Google Analytics.  We use Google Analytics to enable us to develop and improve our services and the Site.  Google Analytics makes use of cookies to see how you use the Site.  If you don’t want Data to be reported by Google Analytics, you can opt-out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On.

 

Cookies.  Most browsers are set to accept cookies, but should you not wish to receive cookies we recommend that you set your browser to refuse these.  Disabling cookies from this Site may affect your ability to use all or parts of the Site.
